Courtney began creating Celtic designs in 1977 and in 1984 - 1988 self published three books of his work, "Merlin the Immortal" H/Back, "Merlin the Immortal" P/Back and "The Celtic Art of Courtney Davis".

With the publication of "The Celtic Source Book" by Blandford Press in 1988 his work reached a world wide market and many of the pages began to appear on the walls of tattoo parlours, it is now in its 30th re-print. Since then over 46 books have been produced and his name is recognised as the leading exponent of Celtic Art.

This site has been produced as a thank you to all those who have purchased his art over the years and especially the tattoo fans and artists whose enthusiastic comments have spurred on his art in this field.
